Cook – Food & Beverage (Part‑Time)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Cook to join our food‑and‑beverage team at our hotel in Nadi, Fiji. The successful candidate will prepare and cook a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, safety and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and measuring.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Prepare cold dishes and ensure proper portioning and plating.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized work station, tools and equipment.
• Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout preparation.
• Set‑up and break‑down work stations and assist with service as needed.

Required profile

• Fiji citizenship.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 lb and perform repetitive motions.
• Willingness to follow safety, hygiene and company policies.

Required skills

• Operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Food preparation techniques including chopping, portioning and measuring.
• Knowledge of food safety and temperature control.
