Food Stores Assistant

About the role

The Food Stores Assistant supports the smooth operation of the food store by receiving, staging, and organizing merchandise. This part‑time position ensures inventory accuracy, food safety, and a clean working environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise, mark for placement, and deliver to appropriate departments.
• Stack received items on pallets or carts and complete requisition forms for inventory.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, and quality; refuse damaged or incorrect items.
• Store perishables properly, rotate stock, and maintain food safety standards.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in proper storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and certifications.
• Follow company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect confidential information.

Required profile

• Fiji citizenship (application open for Fiji citizens only).
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
