Partnerships Officer (P-2) – Temporary, Suva, Fiji

About the role

The Partnerships Officer will support Partnership Specialists and senior management in strengthening collaboration with donors, NGOs, governments and other key stakeholders. This temporary position (364 days) is based in Suva and focuses on enhancing UNICEF’s visibility and influence across the Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate narrative and financial donor reports, maintain reporting trackers and ensure compliance with donor and UNICEF requirements.
• Support grant creation, amendments, no‑cost extensions, payment requests and closure processes in UNISON.
• Track funding opportunities, pipeline status and income trends, and prepare analyses for donor engagement and resource mobilisation.
• Research current and potential partners, maintain donor mapping tools and identify alignment with programme priorities.
• Assist with donor and partner correspondence, meeting coordination and follow‑up actions.
• Develop visibility materials and stories showcasing partner‑supported results while ensuring donor recognition compliance.
• Maintain organised records of donor reports, agreements, partner profiles and engagement materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, International Development, International Relations, Public Affairs or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in programme management, partnership management, resource mobilisation, donor relations or external relations.
• Fluency in English.

• Experience in partnership management with governments, UN agencies, NGOs and donors.
• Knowledge of international development issues, policies and procedures.
• Analytical and research skills for policy analysis and trend monitoring.
• Experience supporting resource mobilisation and external relations initiatives.
• Strategic negotiation and ability to contribute to partnership strategies.
