About the role
The Project Implementation Officer will support the implementation, coordination and delivery of the International Trade Centre funded project EU‑ACP Business Friendly, covering Fiji, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu. The role provides technical and operational support to ensure project outcomes are achieved on time and within budget.
Key responsibilities
- Support strategic planning, management and implementation of the project across the three countries, including workplans, budgets and procurement plans.
- Coordinate project staff, consultants and partners, ensuring activities align with donor agreements and divisional priorities.
- Facilitate public‑private value‑chain alliances, stakeholder platforms and investment facilitation activities.
- Implement the project monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) framework, track indicators and prepare technical and donor reports.
- Manage financial planning, expenditure monitoring, forecasting and ensure procurement complies with SPC and donor requirements.
Required profile
- Degree in Project Management, international development, agriculture or related field.
- 7‑8 years’ experience in international development, project or programme management, agricultural/value‑chain development or partnership management.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multi‑country donor‑funded projects.
- Strong experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.
- Excellent English communication; working knowledge of French is an advantage.

What we offer
- Band 9 salary range 2,399‑2,998 SDR per month (approx. FJD 7,412‑9,265).
- Housing allowance of FJD 1,500‑5,200 per month.
- Relocation airfare, excess luggage, health, life and disability insurance.
- 25 days annual leave plus prorated leave, and access to SPC Provident Fund (8% employee contribution, 10% employer contribution).
