Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

The Accounts Payable Specialist will manage Neptune Pacific's accounts payable function, ensuring invoices and payments are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This role supports month‑end closing, financial reporting, and maintains strong relationships with suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify supplier invoices, matching them to purchase orders, receipts, and supporting documentation.
• Ensure accurate coding, approval, and timely processing of payments within agreed terms.
• Reconcile supplier statements, investigate discrepancies, and resolve overdue or disputed items.
• Maintain up‑to‑date supplier/vendor records and respond to internal and external queries.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities, including AP reconciliations and accruals.
• Prepare AP reports, provide financial information, and ensure compliance with internal controls and tax requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and reduce errors.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar accounts payable or accounting role.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with ERP/accounting systems.
