Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role

The Accounts Payable Specialist supports the NWVL and NAPL finance teams by handling both payable and receivable functions. This position ensures smooth day‑to‑day financial operations, accurate record‑keeping, and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review and process supplier invoices in line with standard operating procedures.
• Liaise with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice discrepancies and answer AP queries.
• Review vendor statements, perform supplier reconciliations and verify APPO line items.
• Support month‑end accounts payable close activities.
• Maintain organized AP records for audit and compliance purposes.
• Manage the AP Queries mailbox, ensuring daily review and response.
• Assist accounts receivable by issuing invoices to local customers, handling related queries and receipting payments.
• Provide administrative and reception support as directed.
• Contribute to quality and environmental initiatives across the site.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in a similar accounts payable/receivable role, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Strong work ethic, self‑motivation and proven problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with a “can‑do” attitude.
