Air Condition & Refrigeration Technician

About the role

The Air Condition & Refrigeration Technician ensures that all air‑conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and related mechanical systems operate safely and efficiently throughout the hotel. This full‑time position supports guest comfort and smooth hotel operations by performing installations, routine maintenance, inspections and repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain and repair air‑conditioning, refrigeration, ventilation and cooling systems across guest rooms, public areas, kitchens and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Conduct routine inspections of HVAC equipment, cold rooms, freezers, refrigerators and chillers, diagnosing faults, refrigerant leaks and mechanical failures.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability of all equipment.
• Support refurbishment, renovation and engineering projects as required.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, manage work orders and keep accurate records.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of spare parts, tools and supplies; order materials through approved processes.
• Coordinate with Engineering and other departments to minimise disruption to hotel operations.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and adhere to safety, environmental and company policies.
• Handle refrigerants, tools and equipment safely; conduct safety checks and report hazards.
