Assistant Financial Controller

About the role

Do numbers and attention to detail excite you? Radisson Hotel Group is looking for an Assistant Financial Controller to support the Finance team and help drive financial success across our hospitality portfolio. You will act as the right‑hand to the Financial Controller, ensuring accuracy, compliance and effective team leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Support the smooth running of the accounting department, ensuring routine work is completed with quality and efficiency.
• Lead and supervise the Senior Accountant, Accountant, Cost Control Manager and Purchasing Manager, fostering their development and performance.
• Manage the month‑end closing process, delivering accurate financials, balance‑sheet reconciliations and timely reporting.
• Review daily revenue reports, cost allocations and forecasts, keeping stakeholders informed of performance against targets.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the Financial Controller, ownership entities and the Board.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, including VAT and other lodgments.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and audit preparation, and build effective relationships with department heads and the wider finance team.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of accounting experience in a senior role, preferably within hotels or resorts.
• Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field; CA/CPA preferred or in progress.
• Strong supervisory skills with a hands‑on, lead‑by‑example approach.
• High accountability, precision and a passion for the hospitality industry.
• Sound knowledge of financial systems and statutory compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Personal integrity and readiness to step up in the Financial Controller’s absence.
