Assistant Food and Beverage Manager

About the role

The Assistant Food and Beverage Manager supports the overall leadership of all food and beverage operations, ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and financial performance. This position works closely with the F&B Manager to implement strategic plans and maintain compliance with all regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Financial management & budgeting: develop, implement and monitor budgets, forecasts and cost‑control measures for all F&B outlets.
• Operations oversight: supervise daily activities of restaurants, bars, culinary services and room service, ensuring quality, hygiene and brand standards.
• Team leadership: lead, coach and develop the F&B team, set performance expectations, conduct appraisals and foster a collaborative work environment.
• Guest experience: guarantee exceptional service, address guest concerns promptly and drive a culture of service excellence across all outlets.
• Human resources: support recruitment, onboarding, training and employee engagement initiatives for the F&B department.
• Compliance & administration: ensure adherence to food safety, health, licensing regulations and maintain accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing food and beverage operations in a hotel or resort setting.
• Strong financial acumen with ability to manage budgets, analyse reports and drive profitability.
• Leadership skills to motivate, develop and evaluate a diverse team.
• Excellent guest‑service orientation and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety, health and licensing regulations.
