Claims Manager – Commercial Insurance

About the role

We are looking for a Claims Manager to join the Claims Operations team at Marsh in Suva, Fiji. The role focuses on managing specialist commercial claims across a range of lines, providing technical advice and supporting claim resolution for SME and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Handle standard to complex commercial claims, advocating for client interests from first notification to final settlement.
• Provide technical advice on policy coverage, interpret clauses, and manage insurer indemnity disputes.
• Respond to broker and client queries, conduct meetings and liaise with insurers, claimants and external providers.
• Manage claims in line with company processes and client service agreements, preparing routine and ad‑hoc reports.
• Identify referral opportunities and collaborate with the Advocacy team on claim issues.
• Prepare and present quarterly or annual claim reviews.
• Maintain industry networks to stay informed of market changes.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of insurance claims experience, preferably in specialty commercial lines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, insurers and external representatives.
• Experience working in a client‑focused claims or insurance environment.
