Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads the Housekeeping department of a hotel, overseeing guest rooms, public areas, laundry and recreation facilities. This senior role sets strategic direction, ensures brand‑standard cleanliness, and drives both guest and employee satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead pre‑opening activities: develop SOPs, conduct deep cleaning, coordinate with Project, Engineering and Procurement, and source initial inventory.
• Recruit, onboard and train the housekeeping team ahead of hotel launch.
• Oversee daily operations across guestrooms, public spaces, recreation areas and laundry, establishing cleaning schedules and productivity standards.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Engineering to ensure smooth room turnover and timely maintenance.
• Implement a comprehensive inspection programme to maintain consistent quality.
• Develop and manage pre‑opening and operational budgets, monitor inventory, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure all areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness, presentation and brand compliance, and respond promptly to guest feedback.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in hotel housekeeping, preferably from pre‑opening through full operation.
• Strong operational management skills with the ability to set schedules, monitor performance and maintain quality standards.
• Experience managing budgets, inventory control and cost‑efficiency initiatives.
• Ability to collaborate with Front Office, Engineering, Procurement and other cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills to train staff and address guest concerns.
