Janitor – Facility Cleaning Specialist

About the role

Genera Pacific is seeking a reliable Janitor to uphold high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and safety across its assigned sites. You will work closely with supervisors and operations leads to ensure all areas are maintained according to company standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and waste removal.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and complete duties within scheduled timeframes.
• Inspect cleaned areas to verify quality and report any deficiencies.
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, reporting low stock promptly.
• Maintain and clean cleaning equipment, reporting faults within 12 hours.
• Observe and report health, safety and sanitation hazards.
• Complete service reports or checklists accurately.
• Assist other staff to sustain overall site cleanliness.

Required profile

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime when approved.
• Good communication with supervisors and team members.

Required skills

• Operation of cleaning equipment (e.g., vacuums, floor scrubbers).
• Safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals.
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety guidelines.
