MFS Risk & Compliance Lead

About the role

Digicel Pacific is seeking a highly motivated MFS Risk & Compliance Lead to join its Nabua office. Reporting directly to the CEO of Fiji, you will ensure that the Mobile Financial Services (MFS) business operates in full compliance with anti‑money‑laundering, counter‑terrorism financing, fraud prevention, and risk‑management requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, review and implement Fiji‑market AML/CTF compliance and risk‑management policies, procedures and controls.
• Maintain and test AUSTRAC‑related AML/CTF obligations and controls.
• Conduct assurance reviews, identify control weaknesses and coordinate remediation.
• Oversee customer identification, verification, KYC due diligence and distribution‑channel controls.
• Serve as the primary contact for regulators, government agencies and industry bodies.
• Manage regulatory submissions, licences, product approvals and statutory reports.
• Provide secretariat support to audit, risk and board committees, including the MFS Audit Risk Committee.
• Lead internal, external and regulatory audits and ensure timely corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in AML/CTF compliance, risk management or related regulatory functions, preferably within the telecommunications or financial services sector.
• Strong knowledge of Fiji’s AML/CTF legislation and AUSTRAC requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce governance frameworks and manage regulatory relationships.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
