Radio Presenter

About the role

The Radio Presenter role is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Suva, responsible for hosting live radio programmes across FBC’s network. You will engage, inform and entertain a diverse audience while supporting the broadcaster’s community‑focused mission.

Key responsibilities

• Host live radio shows, delivering clear and engaging on‑air presentation.
• Prepare show rundowns, select and introduce music and programme segments.
• Conduct on‑air interviews and read scripts, announcements and news bulletins.
• Interact with listeners via calls, messages and social media where appropriate.
• Collaborate with producers, technicians and the news team to ensure smooth broadcasts and consistent branding.
• Participate in promotional activities and support community‑focused content.
• Adhere to broadcasting guidelines and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Strong verbal communication with a clear, confident voice.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Team‑oriented mindset, reliability and willingness to collaborate with production and technical staff.
• Previous experience in radio, media or entertainment; familiarity with the Fijian media landscape is beneficial.
• Relevant training or education in media, communications, journalism or a related field is an advantage.
