Rostering / Scheduling Officer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Rostering / Scheduling Officer to join our fast‑paced team. The successful candidate will ensure continuous operational coverage by creating and maintaining accurate staff rosters while handling unexpected changes and staffing gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, update and maintain staff rosters on a daily basis.
• Guarantee all shifts are covered, eliminating staffing gaps.
• Manage sick calls, sudden availability changes and unplanned absences.
• Coordinate replacement staff and communicate roster updates to employees.
• Track employee availability, leave, RDOs and total working hours.
• Prevent double‑bookings and other rostering errors.
• Monitor overtime, additional hours and flag urgent coverage issues.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset with the ability to identify and improve recurring rostering issues.
• Knowledge of the SCHADS Award and NDIS framework.

Required skills

• Experience operating CRM systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, email and SMS communication tools.
