SAP Tax and Revenue Management Lead Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a senior SAP Tax and Revenue Management consultant to lead the functional design, configuration, and delivery of SAP TRM/PSCD for a public‑sector revenue authority. The role involves end‑to‑end ownership of the taxpayer lifecycle and serves as the primary functional authority for tax business owners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and configure SAP TRM and PSCD/FI‑CA components, including taxpayer master data, tax objects, contract accounts, returns, revenue distribution and account determination.
• Lead workshops with stakeholders, translate tax legislation into functional specifications and system designs.
• Configure returns processing, assessments, penalties, interest, dunning, instalment plans, write‑offs and refunds.
• Maintain BRF+ rules for tax form validation and calculation logic.
• Manage correspondence, form output and taxpayer portal integration.
• Design integrations with FI‑GL, revenue accounting, payment interfaces and BW reporting.
• Supervise a team of TRM/FI‑CA consultants, allocate work, review specs and enforce quality gates.
• Own incident and problem management for TRM tickets, perform root‑cause analysis and drive resolutions.
• Coordinate with ABAP, Basis and Security teams on RICEFW objects, performance tuning and authorisation design.
• Lead UAT, defect triage and functional sign‑off, support cut‑over, data migration validation and hypercare.
• Produce and maintain functional documentation, test scripts and knowledge‑transfer material.

Required profile

• 8+ years of total SAP experience with at least 4 years in SAP TRM/PSCD (FI‑CA) and a full‑cycle implementation as functional lead.
• Strong background in FI‑CA configuration, contract accounts, document management and collections.
• Hands‑on experience with TRM components such as tax object management, revenue type configuration and form bundle processing.
• Proven ability to lead workshops, manage teams and interact directly with public‑sector clients.
