Engineering Supervisor

About the role

You will support the Chief Engineer in ensuring the smooth operation of all engineering functions, including hotel systems, plant and equipment, team management, sub‑contractors, and maintenance of property structure and assets. As an Engineering Supervisor you’re not just overseeing daily building and systems maintenance – you’re spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences for every guest.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure facility safety and compliance with local, state and federal regulations for mechanical, electrical, HVAC and life‑safety systems.
• Assign and oversee daily maintenance tasks, documenting work in the property management system.
• Train, schedule and supervise the maintenance team, providing guidance to ensure high‑quality performance.
• Supervise external contractors and inspect completed work for quality and compliance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, guest concerns and emergency situations.
• Repair and maintain all hotel systems and equipment, reporting deficiencies and managing stock control.
• Manage departmental operating expenses, monitor stock levels and ensure operations stay within budget.

Required profile

• Passion for hospitality, integrity, leadership, teamwork, ownership and a focus on the present.
• HVAC, electrical or plumbing/gas trade qualification is advantageous.
• Sound general engineering knowledge and trade background.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Service Technician or similar role in a 5‑star hotel.
