Front Desk Team Leader

About the role

The Front Desk Team Leader supports daily front‑office operations at a Marriott property in Nadi, Fiji. You will ensure smooth guest check‑ins and check‑outs, handle payment issues, and maintain high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist staff with expediting problem payments and follow up on guest satisfaction.
• Process all guest check‑ins, assign rooms, issue and activate room keys.
• Handle all payment types (cash, checks, debit, credit) and resolve disputed charges.
• Anticipate sold‑out situations and secure alternative accommodations.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to confirm room readiness.
• Run daily arrival/departure reports and verify accuracy.
• Cash guests’ personal and traveler’s checks, count bank at shift start/end, and balance receipts.
• Review shift logs, document pertinent information, and support management in training and coaching.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; follow safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related hospitality experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift ≤10 lb and perform extended periods of front‑desk duties.
