Partnerships Officer (P-2) – Temporary, Suva, Fiji

About the role

The Partnerships Officer supports Partnership Specialists and senior management in deepening collaboration with key stakeholders, providing environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, resource mobilisation, and policy influence to raise UNICEF’s visibility and impact across the Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate narrative and financial donor reports, maintain trackers and ensure compliance with donor and UNICEF requirements.
• Support grant creation, amendments, no‑cost extensions, payment requests and visibility/closure requirements in UNISON.
• Track funding opportunities, pipeline status, income trends and gaps; prepare analyses for donor engagement and resource mobilisation.
• Research current and potential partners, maintain donor mapping tools and identify alignment with programme priorities.
• Assist with donor and partner correspondence, information requests, meeting coordination and follow‑up actions.
• Develop stories and visibility materials showcasing partner‑supported results while meeting donor recognition requirements.
• Maintain organised records of donor reports, agreements, partner profiles, funding data and engagement materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Communications, International Development, International Relations, Public Affairs or related field.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience in programme management, partnership management, resource mobilisation, external relations, donor relations, stakeholder engagement or policy analysis.
• Fluency in English.

• Strong relationship‑building and networking abilities.
• Effective partnership management with governments, UN agencies, NGOs and donors.
• Knowledge of international development issues, programming policies and procedures.
• Analytical and research skills for policy and trend analysis.
• Experience in resource mobilisation and strategic negotiation.
