Compliance & Conduct Risk Manager

About the role

The Compliance & Conduct Risk Manager will lead a Centre of Excellence within ANZ's First Line of Defence. You will shape, embed and continuously improve specialist capability, standards and practices to ensure safe, compliant and high‑quality outcomes for the business.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the day‑to‑day performance of the Centre of Excellence, setting clear priorities and aligning work with organisational objectives.
• Establish and maintain governance, standards and controls that deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
• Oversee demand intake, prioritisation and resource allocation to ensure work is properly scoped and sequenced.
• Shape and embed specialist methodologies, tools and standards in line with enterprise frameworks and regulatory expectations.
• Drive continuous improvement in capability maturity by leveraging insights, lessons learned and best practice.
• Build and sustain communities of practice to promote knowledge sharing and professional excellence.
• Act as a trusted partner to business, delivery and risk stakeholders, providing expert advice and guidance across risk, change and capability themes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a compliance or conduct risk function within a financial services environment.
• Demonstrated ability to establish governance frameworks and maintain high standards of control.
• Strong understanding of enterprise risk frameworks and regulatory expectations.
• Excellent collaboration and influencing skills with business and risk stakeholders.
