Event Logistics Support for Pre‑COP 31 in Fiji

About the role

Clima Trust is seeking a Fiji‑based consultant to manage logistics for a high‑level Pre‑COP 31 event on 7 October 2026. The role involves coordinating venue, transport and accommodation arrangements before and during the event, leveraging local knowledge and language skills.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in‑country logistics, including venue selection, transport, and accommodation for participants.
• Liaise with local vendors, government counterparts and other stakeholders to secure services.
• Manage participant travel logistics, airport transfers and on‑site registration.
• Provide real‑time troubleshooting and problem‑solving during the event.
• Assist with interpretation/translation between English and iTaukei/Fijian as needed.
• Source and coordinate local suppliers for catering, equipment, security and related services.
• Support the Clima Trust team with day‑to‑day coordination tasks before and during the event.

Required profile

• Based in Fiji with the right to work locally.
• Proven experience organising logistics for conferences, workshops or similar events.
• Fluency in English and iTaukei/Fijian (or another relevant local language).
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Existing networks with local venues, suppliers and transport providers are an asset.
• Flexibility to work evenings or weekends around event dates.
• Prior experience supporting international or regional events is advantageous.
