About the role

The Director of Event Planning leads all event‑related functions for a resort property, ensuring seamless execution from sales turnover through post‑event follow‑up while upholding Marriott brand standards. This senior position drives revenue growth, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction across meetings, conferences, weddings, and social events.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full event lifecycle, coordinating with sales, operations, culinary, and other hotel departments.
• Develop and implement event strategies that align with brand standards and property objectives.
• Oversee banquet, catering, and event services, ensuring high‑quality delivery and profitability.
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and competitor offerings to maximize event revenue.
• Maintain event spaces and back‑of‑house areas in operational readiness.
• Support high‑profile events and manage relationships with external vendors.

Required profile
