Part‑Time Cook – Nadi, Fiji

About the role

We are looking for a reliable part‑time Cook to join our kitchen team at Marriott International in Nadi, Fiji. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring, and mixing.
• Cook foods according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food preparation checklists.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely.
• Test food for doneness, monitor quality, and ensure proper portioning.
• Set up and break down work stations, clean and disinfect kitchen areas, tools, knives, and equipment.
• Check and maintain correct temperatures for appliances and food.
• Follow all company safety, security, and hygiene policies and report any issues.

Required profile

• Fiji citizenship.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar kitchen role.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift (≤ 25 lb) and perform physical tasks for an entire shift.
