Rooms Guest Service Attendant

About the role

The Rooms Guest Service Attendant ensures guest rooms are clean, comfortable, and ready for arrival. Working within the Sheraton Hotel on Denarau Island, you will uphold brand standards and contribute to a welcoming guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms: replace amenities, change linens, make beds, clean bathrooms, remove trash and restock supplies.
• Verify room vacancies before entry and follow safety and security procedures.
• Dust, polish, and remove stains from furniture, walls, and surfaces.
• Vacuum carpets and perform floor‑care duties in rooms and hallways.
• Check that all appliances are present and functioning, reporting any maintenance issues immediately.
• Transport and maintain a fully stocked housekeeping cart, keeping items organized.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and assist other departments as needed.
• Follow company policies, complete safety training, and report hazards or equipment issues.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect guest privacy, and collaborate with the housekeeping team.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or similar environment preferred.
• Basic understanding of cleaning standards, chemicals and equipment (training provided).
• Clear, professional communication with guests and colleagues.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lb and push/pull housekeeping carts.
• Legal right to work in Fiji.
