Senior Manager, Technology & Governance (AFGP)

About the role

The Senior Manager will lead the Technology and Governance (TAG) unit within the Australia Fiji Governance Partnership (AFGP). Based in Suva, this role provides strategic leadership for digital technology initiatives supporting Fiji’s public sector reforms.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations of the TAG unit and oversee the full project cycle for digital governance initiatives.
• Supervise and mentor a team of specialists and consultants to ensure high‑quality delivery and innovation.
• Provide technical and strategic advice on information systems, AI, big data, business analysis and change management.
• Coordinate with DFAT, the Platform Management Team and Fiji government ministries, ensuring alignment with the AFGP workplan.
• Manage project budgets, risks, contracts and payments, and ensure compliance with DFAT’s child protection and PSEAH standards.

Required profile

• Fiji national (position reserved for Fiji nationals only).
• Senior‑level experience leading technology and governance programmes in a government or development context.
