Senior System Engineer

About the role

GO2 Solutions is expanding its technical capability and seeks an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to operate, support and continuously improve the infrastructure and cloud services delivered to customers and partners. The role combines advanced Level 2/3 operational engineering with strong service ownership, evidence‑based delivery and an automation‑first mindset. You will be expected to proactively identify recurring issues, enhance monitoring and deliver reusable automation that drives measurable customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Own and resolve complex incidents and service requests across Windows Server, identity, virtualization, backup, storage, monitoring and cloud platforms.
• Participate in major incident response, root‑cause analysis, problem management and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Plan, test and implement approved changes, including risk assessment, rollback planning and evidence capture.
• Perform service health checks, patching, capacity planning, backup and recovery assurance activities.
• Maintain accurate ticket updates, configuration records, runbooks and knowledge articles.
• Support customer onboarding, technical handover and ongoing operational readiness.
• Participate in the after‑hours on‑call roster and follow escalation procedures as required.

Required profile

• Strong troubleshooting capability with Windows Server 2019/2022/2025, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP and hybrid identity.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Azure Arc or comparable hybrid cloud services.
• Experience with VMware vSphere/vCenter and/or Hyper‑V; exposure to Kubernetes or Tanzu is desirable.
• Practical automation experience using PowerShell, REST APIs, Git, Azure Automation, Logic Apps, Bicep or Terraform.
• Knowledge of enterprise backup, disaster recovery, storage replication and server hardening practices.
