Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for operating, supporting, maintaining and continuously improving the infrastructure and cloud services delivered by GO2 Solutions. The role provides advanced Level 2 and Level 3 technical support across multiple customer environments, ensuring high availability, performance, security and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support Windows Server environments, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Administer Microsoft 365, Azure and hybrid cloud services.
• Support virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere and Hyper‑V.
• Maintain backup, storage, monitoring and disaster‑recovery systems.
• Investigate and resolve complex incidents, service requests and infrastructure issues.
• Participate in on‑call support, major incident management and root‑cause analysis.
• Lead change management activities, perform risk assessments and maintain technical documentation.
• Identify automation opportunities, develop PowerShell scripts and improve monitoring/alerting.
• Implement security controls, support vulnerability remediation and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to customers, communicate solutions effectively and build strong relationships.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 5 + years of infrastructure, systems or cloud engineering experience, preferably in a Managed Services Provider environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VMware Certified Professional, ITIL Foundation and cybersecurity certifications.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, customer‑focused service delivery and ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
