Steward Guest Service Attendant

About the role

The Steward Guest Service Attendant ensures the smooth operation of kitchen and service areas by maintaining clean equipment, handling dishwashing processes, and supporting food‑service logistics at our hotel on Denarau Island.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand‑wash stations, pot‑scrubbing stations, and trash compactors.
• Wash, disinfect, and sanitize kitchen, store‑room, tables, tools, knives, and other equipment using appropriate chemicals.
• Receive deliveries, store perishables correctly, rotate stock, and ensure clean wares are stored in designated areas.
• Use the 3‑compartment sink to clean dishes, inspect, pull, and stack cleaned items, and return any soiled items for re‑washing.
• Break down dirty bus tubs, empty and maintain trashcans, dumpsters, and recycling bins.
• Clean and mop all assigned areas, dispose of glass and cardboard properly, and follow all safety and security policies.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Year 12 (secondary school level) or equivalent.
• Basic English communication skills for following instructions and interacting with team members.
• Good physical fitness to stand, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Eligibility to work in Fiji.
