Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

About the role

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will partner with the Group EHS function to develop, implement, and monitor EHS Management Systems across Neptune Pacific’s operations in Fiji. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will act as a trusted subject‑matter expert, coaching internal stakeholders and promoting a proactive safety culture.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Group EHS function in creating and updating policies, procedures, safe work practices, and work‑instructions.
• Maintain EHS documentation such as hazard registers, risk assessments, inspection reports, training records, incident logs and compliance dashboards.
• Develop and coach site‑specific safety plans, ensuring regular reviews and continuous improvement.
• Monitor, analyse and report EHS performance metrics, trends and KPIs to senior leadership.
• Lead internal audits, implement recommendations and track corrective actions.
• Inspect workplaces, equipment and practices to ensure compliance with legislation and standards.
• Identify training needs and deliver EHS training programmes, including inductions, toolbox talks and refresher sessions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in EHS management within a shipping, logistics or similar industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to travel regularly to sites across Fiji and occasional international travel.
