About the role
WWF is seeking a Great Sea Reef Project Officer to support locally led conservation actions across Fiji as part of the Pacific Pathway 2030 Strategic Plan. The role will contribute to protecting and restoring coral reef ecosystems while working closely with Indigenous Peoples and local communities.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement project activities for the Great Sea Reef under the guidance of the GSR Programme Manager.
- Engage Indigenous Peoples and local communities to ensure conservation actions are community‑owned and beneficial.
- Monitor reef health, collect data and contribute to reporting on project progress.
- Support WWF‑Pacific’s broader objectives of climate‑resilient ecosystems and sustainable livelihoods.
Required profile
- Professional Level 1 (P1) position, reporting to the GSR Programme Manager.
- Commitment to WWF’s mission of people‑and‑nature positive outcomes.
- Willingness to work on‑site in Fiji and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
