IT Support Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, customer‑focused IT Support Officer to deliver first‑ and second‑level technical assistance across hardware, software, networks and business systems. You will respond to user queries, maintain equipment, and help keep our IT environment secure and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level and second‑level support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices and other IT assets.
• Troubleshoot Windows, macOS and common business applications, including Microsoft 365.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access via Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Diagnose Wi‑Fi, VPN and LAN/WAN connectivity issues and escalate complex problems.
• Ensure endpoint protection, security updates, patching and backups are applied consistently.
• Document common issues, resolutions and user guidance.
• Assist with IT asset inventory, procurement and compliance with IT policies.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, ITIL or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Hardware and software troubleshooting.
• Windows, macOS (Linux knowledge advantageous).
• Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams.
• Active Directory and Azure AD user management.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
• Experience with IT ticketing/helpdesk systems.
