Junior Procurement Specialist

About the role

XLA is seeking a Junior Procurement Specialist based in Fiji to support the procurement team on an MCC‑funded Interim Procurement Agent contract. The role works remotely alongside Lead and Senior Specialists and is contingent upon contract award.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and format solicitation documents, notices and addenda using MCC templates.
• Track active procurements and prepare weekly procurement status updates in Excel.
• Coordinate bidder communications, clarifications and manage electronic submission tools such as Dropbox/Sync, DocuSign, Zoom and Teams.
• Support evaluation panel logistics, take minutes and prepare reports.
• Maintain procurement files and archives for audit purposes.
• Assist with contract administration tracking and Contractor Past Performance Reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent academic credential.
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain or logistics.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Based in Fiji with reliable internet access.
• Ability to work overlapping hours with U.S. Eastern and West Africa time zones.
