Landscape Grounds Service Assistant (Part‑time)

About the role

This part‑time position supports the appearance and safety of Marriott properties in Fiji by performing a wide range of landscaping and grounds‑keeping tasks. You will work outdoors, ensuring that gardens, lawns, fountains and other exterior features remain attractive and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain the visual appeal of property grounds, including fountains, planters and other features.
• Install, replace and transplant flowers, bulbs, trees, shrubs and grass.
• Water, weed, trim, prune and edge lawns, including areas inaccessible to mowers.
• Operate and maintain irrigation systems, dump trucks, tractors and other utility vehicles.
• Perform lawn mowing, edging, leaf raking and snow/ice removal where applicable.
• Clean, refuel and store equipment after use; report defects or safety issues.
• Collect and bag trash from exterior containers.

Required profile

• Fiji citizenship.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least one year of related landscaping or grounds‑maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s licence.

Required skills

• Operation of dump trucks and tractors.
• Operation and maintenance of irrigation systems.
• Lawn mowing, edging and general grounds care.
• Equipment cleaning, refuelling and basic repair.
