Outreach and Engagement Advisor

About the role

The Pacific Community (SPC) is seeking an Outreach and Engagement Advisor to join its Strategic Communications, Outreach and Engagement Unit. This unit, reporting to the Office of the Director‑General, drives integrated, contemporary communication and storytelling approaches that create impact for SPC and its partners across the Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support outreach initiatives that align with SPC’s strategic objectives.
• Develop and implement communication systems and processes to ensure consistent messaging.
• Lead the creation of storytelling content that highlights Pacific‑led projects and successes.
• Collaborate with internal units and external stakeholders to amplify the organisation’s visibility.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach activities and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in communications, outreach or engagement within an international or development context.
• Strong understanding of Pacific regional issues and cultural sensitivities.
• Ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams and with external partners.
