Pacific Regional Energy Auditor

About the role

The Pacific Regional Energy Auditor will work within the Geoscience Energy and Maritime (GEM) Division of the Pacific Community, supporting Pacific Island countries and territories in sustainable energy development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct energy monitoring and evaluation activities across Pacific Island member countries.
• Provide technical advice and assistance on energy‑related projects and policies.
• Support research initiatives within the GEM Division related to energy and maritime sectors.
• Deliver training and capacity‑building sessions for local stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of evidence‑based recommendations for sustainable energy use.

Required profile

• Relevant academic background in energy, environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
• Ability to work in a multicultural Pacific Island context.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of energy auditing principles and methodologies.
• Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
• Basic understanding of geoscience and maritime contexts.
