Pack Technician – Production Maintenance

About the role

As a Pack Technician you will ensure the smooth operation of packing machinery and systems at our Suva manufacturing site. You will join a collaborative Production Technical team that values continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and value‑driven performance within the Production Technical team.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance plans aligned with machine care and reliability programs, ensuring successful start‑up after maintenance.
• Plan and perform maintenance to keep equipment at base condition, minimizing failures, downtime, and breakdowns.
• Support and participate in Daily Management Systems (DMS) on the production floor.
• Create technical training materials (One‑Point Lessons) and up‑skill the team on production technologies.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience, preferably in an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of machine maintenance, reliability, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to collaborate, foster teamwork, deliver technical training and uphold EHS standards.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with a zero‑loss mindset and strong communication skills.
