Part‑Time Painter – Hospitality Facilities

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Painter to join our engineering & facilities team at a Marriott hotel in Nadi, Fiji. The role involves applying and maintaining high‑quality finishes on walls, ceilings, furniture and other surfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, varnish and other finishes using brushes, rollers or spray guns.
• Prepare surfaces by applying primers, sealers and removing old finishes through stripping, sanding, wire‑brushing or abrasive blasting.
• Protect surrounding areas, post appropriate signage and clean up tools and equipment after each job.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust colour specifications as needed.
• Follow all company safety policies, report hazards and maintain a clean, professional appearance.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school qualification.
• At least 1 year of hands‑on painting or surface‑finishing experience.
• Open to Fiji citizens only.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Paint application using brushes, rollers and spray guns.
• Surface preparation techniques such as sanding, stripping and abrasive blasting.
• Use of ladders and basic hand tools.
