Gas Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Gas Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation of all gas‑related equipment across our property in Denarau Island South, Nadi. The role involves routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and emergency response for LPG and other gas systems.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular inspections, testing and maintenance of LPG supply systems, pipelines, regulators, valves and gas‑fired appliances such as kitchen equipment, boilers, water heaters and dryers.
• Identify and report gas leaks, damaged components or unsafe conditions and take corrective action in line with emergency procedures.
• Carry out preventive maintenance tasks including cleaning, lubrication, adjustment and replacement of approved parts.
• Maintain accurate daily logs of inspections, maintenance activities, gas readings and safety incidents.
• Manage inventories of gas‑related parts, fittings, tools and safety equipment, and requisition supplies as needed.
• Follow all company, engineering, safety, environmental and regulatory policies, including proper handling, storage and transport of flammable materials.
• Collaborate with other departments and support the Engineering team to achieve operational goals.

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 50 lb and perform tasks that require bending, twisting, reaching and stooping.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work safely with hazardous materials.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
