About the role
The Quality Engineer will ensure that products and processes meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Working closely with engineering, inspection and customer teams, you will develop documentation, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement across the manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop required documentation for new projects, including control plans, visual aids and acceptance criteria.
- Support engineering change‑management activities.
- Represent the customer to guarantee timely detection of product issues.
- Manage inspection resources efficiently to ensure early problem identification.
- Promote an error‑prevention philosophy and lead initiatives to improve product quality.
- Monitor quality KPIs, analyse results and implement corrective actions when targets are not met.
- Design and execute quality plans for process and product monitoring.
- Document and track corrective actions arising from customer complaints, KPI gaps, audits and statistical process control findings.
- Oversee statistical process control in inspection areas.
- Coordinate process corrective actions with multidisciplinary teams.
- Handle customer corrective actions, including rapid containment, root‑cause analysis and 8‑D reporting.
- Prepare and deliver failure‑analysis presentations for quality issues.
- Block non‑approved material in the MES system.
- Follow up on non‑conforming products throughout the process.
Required profile
- Proven experience in quality engineering within an industrial or production setting.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, inspection and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Customer‑oriented attitude and authority to act on quality concerns.
- Familiarity with quality standards, KPI tracking and corrective‑action methodologies.
