Resident Engineer – Road Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Resident Engineer to supervise road construction works across multiple transportation infrastructure projects in Fiji. The role involves overseeing daily site activities to ensure safe, on‑time, and on‑budget delivery in line with contract specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all road construction activities on site.
• Monitor contractor performance, construction quality, and adherence to work programmes.
• Review technical submissions and verify completed works, certifying quantities.
• Track project schedule and progress, ensuring compliance with FIDIC contractual requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and progress updates for stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in civil engineering.
• Proven experience as a Resident Engineer on major road construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract.
• Experience in construction supervision and quality assurance.
