Senior Accountant

About the role

HLB Advisory (Fiji) is looking for a motivated Senior Accountant to join its growing team. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality financial statements, management accounts and tax returns for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, management accounts and tax returns.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring assignments are completed accurately and on time.
• Review and coach junior team members.
• Liaise professionally with clients, statutory authorities and other stakeholders.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and business advisory projects.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation requirements and internal procedures.
• Maintain strong client relationships and identify opportunities for additional support.

Required profile

• Recognised degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• CA or CPA qualification (or working towards it) is an advantage.
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a professional accounting firm.
• Sound knowledge of financial reporting, taxation and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise junior staff and manage multiple assignments within deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as MYOB.
