Senior Machine Operator – Manufacturing

About the role

Essity is looking for a Senior Machine Operator to join its Nakasi, Fiji site. Reporting to the Process Engineer/Team Leader, you will ensure safe, efficient and consistent production while meeting quality and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and oversee machines to achieve daily production targets.
• Maintain machines in Run‑to‑Standard condition and monitor performance.
• Proactively address deviations and minimise downtime through timely intervention and escalation.
• Execute and support CIL (Cleaning, Inspection, Lubrication) activities.
• Lead brand changeovers and machine set‑ups.
• Enforce compliance with SOPs, work instructions and safety standards.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives such as Lean, TPM and 5S.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Basic mechanical or technical knowledge.
• Strong understanding of machine operations and production processes.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and TPM practices.
• Ability to manage changeovers and machine set‑ups.
• Trade certificate or Certificate IV in Mechanical Engineering is a plus.
