Executive Housekeeper

About the role

As the Executive Housekeeper you will lead the resort’s housekeeping team, ensuring flawless cleanliness, orderliness and an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the housekeeping team through daily walk‑throughs and quality checks.
• Maintain the highest hygiene and quality standards in guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Coordinate with Front Office and Chief Engineer on room availability and maintenance.
• Develop schedules, allocate tasks and oversee budget and inventory of cleaning supplies, linen and uniforms.
• Train, motivate and coach staff, providing safety and technical training.
• Monitor guest feedback, resolve concerns and continuously improve operations.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, pest control and hazardous‑material handling.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years’ departmental leadership experience in a quality‑focused hotel environment.
• Proven laundry management experience and ability to oversee multiple functions.
• Commercial awareness with strong organisational skills.
• Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Tertiary qualification; certifications in OHS, First Aid and Chemical Handling preferred.
• Flexibility to work varying schedules, including holidays and weekends.

Required skills

• Opera Property Management System (PMS) – preferred.
• Microsoft Office applications.
