Container Surveyor

About the role

The Container Surveyor will be based at the Wailekutu Depot in Fiji and will be responsible for inspecting shipping containers as they enter the depot, assessing any damage and coordinating repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct structural surveys of containers on all six sides once gated in.
• Update handheld devices immediately with damage assessments.
• Determine minor repairs and upgrades required.
• Prepare damage quotes and send them to the principal for approval.
• Coordinate with the workshop for repairs and maintenance.
• Manage material stocks and ensure workshop compliance with OHS standards.

Required profile

• Completion of Form 7 level or higher qualification from a recognized institution.
• Physically fit to handle the demands of the job.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
• Ability to follow procedures and work as a team player.
• Legal right to live and work in Fiji.
