Container Yard Attendant (Fixed Term)

About the role

The Container Yard Attendant maintains yard cleanliness, executes container processing operations, supports logistics activities, and upholds safety and environmental standards to ensure efficient fleet and yard operations.

Key responsibilities

• Clean wash bays, garages, infrastructure, and yard areas following 5S standards; maintain equipment and workstations before and after shifts.
• Wash and prepare containers to meet export requirements; inspect containers using checklists, record numbers, and assign them to wash/repair bays.
• Assist with pallet loading, material transfers, and container movements using forklifts and other equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and support site‑wide quality and environmental initiatives.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation for all activities.

Required profile

• Minimum Form 6 completion with relevant experience in similar roles.
• 1–2 years experience operating logistics equipment (preferred).
• Valid Group 9 forklift licence or ability to obtain within six months.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a self‑motivated, problem‑solving attitude.
