People and Culture Officer (Fixed‑Term) – Suva, Fiji

About the role

The People and Culture Officer supports the People and Culture Manager in delivering HR services across UNICEF's Pacific Multi‑Country Office. The role applies HR theory, policies and procedures to assist supervisors and staff in the unit, contributing to strategic human‑resource initiatives and data‑driven decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Business partnering with line managers to address HR needs and promote effective workforce planning.
• Strategic human resources support, including recruitment, classification, performance management and employee relations.
• Implementation of assigned HR services such as learning and capacity development programmes.
• HR data analytics to monitor trends, produce reports and inform policy adjustments.
• Contribute to the development of a resilient, inclusive and high‑performing workplace culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology, International Relations or a related field.
• Minimum of one year relevant experience in HR functions such as recruitment, performance management, learning and development, or workforce planning.
• Strong analytical thinking, planning and organisational abilities.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an asset.
