Senior Shared Services Accountant

About the role

The Senior Shared Services Officer (Accountant) will support accounting and finance services across multiple Pacific entities. Based in Suva, the role involves hands‑on transaction processing, reconciliations, month‑end support, treasury activities and financial administration while collaborating with country finance teams, Treasury, Compliance, Operations and Group Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily float and bank reconciliations, investigating variances.
• Prepare and post daily Business Payments, Foreign Exchange, Western Union and other operational accounting entries.
• Maintain inter‑company reconciliations and resolve differences promptly.
• Process journals, accruals, pre‑payments and other accounting entries as required.
• Support month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with daily cash position reporting, settlements and treasury‑related tasks.
• Ensure accurate accounting records and documentation in line with Group policies.
• Contribute to audit, compliance, regulatory reporting and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting, finance, audit or shared services.
• Strong experience in reconciliations and transaction processing.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
