Tax Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Tax Accountant to join the Finance Team at Digicel’s Nabua office, reporting to the Senior Tax Manager. The role supports tax compliance, accounting and reporting for Hub Markets across Fiji, Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu and Nauru.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and periodic statutory tax returns (VAT/CT, FBT, telecom levy, turnover tax, gambling turnover tax) for the Hub Markets.
• Post month‑end tax journals, clear entries and accrue tax liabilities within the close schedule.
• Reconcile tax GL balances with authority statements and resolve differences.
• Assist with tax audits, regulatory queries and preparation of tax packs and disclosures.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• CPA/CA qualification or working towards a recognized professional qualification.
• At least 3 years of relevant accounting, tax or financial reporting experience, preferably in a multinational or chartered accounting firm.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Knowledge of Great Plains.
• Familiarity with HFM (Hyperion Financial Management).
