Accounts Receivable & Credit Manager

About the role

The Accounts Receivable & Credit Manager will lead the development and execution of the credit management and collections strategy for Transam Fiji Limited. This senior position is responsible for improving cash flow, minimizing credit risk, and optimizing working capital across all business units.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve cash collections.
• Lead collection activities on overdue accounts, focusing on aged and high‑value debtors.
• Manage customer credit assessments, approvals, credit limits, and payment terms.
• Monitor and mitigate credit risk through regular customer reviews and proactive account management.
• Drive disciplined collections governance, including credit hold procedures, recovery plans, and legal escalations.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Operations teams to resolve invoice disputes and eliminate recurring process issues.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Accounts Receivable and Credit team, setting performance expectations.
• Prepare weekly ageing reports, DSO dashboards, cash collection forecasts, and executive performance reports.
• Support ERP and finance transformation initiatives and ensure compliance with company policies and audit requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Management or Collections.
• At least 5 years' leadership experience managing AR, Credit or Collections teams.
• Proven success in significantly reducing DSO within a medium to large organization.
• Experience managing aged debt portfolios exceeding FJD $10 million.
• Strong stakeholder management and commercial negotiation skills.
