Assistant Executive Housekeeper

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Executive Housekeeper to support the Executive Housekeeper in managing the Housekeeping, Public Areas and Linen Porter operations at Shangri‑La Yanuca Island, Fiji. The role ensures that guest rooms and public spaces meet the brand’s high standards of cleanliness and service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in daily management of housekeeping, public areas and linen porter functions.
• Supervise and support the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure all housekeeping policies, procedures and Shangri‑La standards are consistently applied.
• Monitor inventory of linen and supplies and coordinate with relevant departments.
• Participate in training, inspections and quality audits.

Required profile

• Relevant hospitality qualification.
• Minimum 3 years’ supervisory or management experience in a large 5‑star international hotel or resort.
• Strong leadership, organisational and team‑management abilities.
• Self‑motivated, energetic and a collaborative team player.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of housekeeping, public areas and linen porter operations is an advantage.
